Ok, back to my story and how I got to be where I am today....

Like most people in the Network Marketing industry I've had lots of years of struggle. I've been involved for almost 10 years and my first three to five years were very tough indeed... and I felt like giving up many times.

I never seemed to be able to make more than a couple of hundred dollars each month and I was doing everything my upline was teaching me.

I made a list of my friends and family, contacted everyone I knew, went to shopping centers to hand out flyers, put adverts in shop windows and in newspapers and tried tons of other things.

I then bought hundreds of telephone leads and spent hours and hours on the phone, trying to convince these people who were obviously not interested... to join me in my business. If you've ever done any of these things, then you know that they just do not work. (well, they didn't for me anyway...maybe your experience is different)

My network marketing company was excellent and I really believed in the product, but every time I tried to sell my opportunity to other Network Marketers I just got knocked back time and time again.

It was a painful experience...

It quickly became apparent that most Network Marketers were not interested in joining another business opportunity, as they were already happy with the one(s) they were with. 

So, I sat down and thought about this long and hard, I decided that in order to overcome this problem I needed a solution that would allow me to contact other Network Marketers without scaring them off. I needed a ‘lead in’ system that complemented my prospects existing Network Marketing business and didn’t compete with it.

If I could do that... I was onto a winner :-)

The next bit of fun was the challenge of finding something to fit this criteria and I spent months and months testing multiple systems in the search of finding something that would be able to tie everything I was doing together.

About 2 years ago, I finally had a break through. I met someone online who exposed me to a 'complete system' which was exactly what I was looking for.

It was almost everything I needed to help me build my primary Network Marketing business. The best part was that I could also approach other Network Marketers without them rejecting me and I could sell them the exact same system I was using to help them build their business.

These companies are so heavily marketed online by the thousands of Network Marketers promoting them that almost everyone in the online industry has seen them already.

Yes, these systems are good, they have some fantastic information and I'm still a member of several of them, but to me... I can't have success with them because....

These Systems Are Saturated!

So.... I began looking for something that had just as much potential as these 'systems' BUT something that was unique, with the capacity to grow. Something I could get involved with early on, position myself as a leader, trainer and expert and through the power of a compensation plan attached to it....build a large residual income whilst promoting my primary business through the system.

I was looking for The Perfect Funded Proposal System.... but did it actually exist?

The criteria I was looking for was:

• A Funded Proposal Product which other Network Marketers could benefit from. (Something I could plug my existing network into which would enable them earn an income on the front end).

• A system with an 'top-class' binary compensation plan attached to the funded proposal. (Binary compensation plans are very powerful, I love them because they encourage team work, duplication and people helping each other to build their business)

• A fully duplicable system which people could just 'plug into' and earn money as quickly as possible. (The easier the system is to plug people into, the faster your organization will grow!)

• A system that I could stay with throughout my Network Marketing career... even if I left my current company, joined a different one or my existing company went BUST. (This is critical)

• A product and company I could believe in 100%. (yes, I've been with a few...many of them failed to deliver... over promise and under deliver)

• A system that had massive room for growth and is not at saturation point like many of the other systems out there. (It gets pretty tough when everyone's selling the same system and are all fighting and scrapping over the leads and prospects who've already heard of the system they're promoting)

• Something that myself and my leaders could grow with rather than being at the bottom of the pile. It's a great feeling when your whole organization just 'explodes' right in front of your eyes.

• A system that wasn't going to try to sell my downline 'other products and services' and encourage me to split my focus by selling other affiliate programs to my downline... (yes, different programs are great, but can be incredibly distracting and overwhelming for your team.)

• A system that teaches and trains others how to use it automatically. This way, I could focus on my most productive work and leave the system to educate my downline without my input...

• The ability to be able to work as part of a strong team. hundreds of people all going in the same direction, all helping each other. (Successful Network Marketers love working as part of a team... it's critical to the success of their downline.)

Don't get me wrong.... Magnetic Sponsoring and Renegade Network Marketer are great books and the teachings are fantastic, but for me.... I wanted to STAND OUT from the crowd a little and do something different.

I Wanted To Brand Me & Not Mike Dillard, Ann Sieg Or Mike Klingler

There are tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people trying to sell the same products all the time to the same people and it's getting BORING.

(Side Note: I do still actually promote the above products as I strongly believe in their trainings... but I don't promote them as hard as I used to, however I still earn a great income from selling them to other Network Marketers)

One of my only concerns with some of these systems is that they encourage you to promote a lot of different affiliate programs to your downline, which is very distracting and overwhelming to them.

How can your downline be expected to grow when there are so many distractions?

I'm sure you'd agree with me that The funded proposal is a fantastic concept. But what frustrates me is that I can either only earn a 'one time commission' for the product I sell, or can only earn 1 or 2 levels deep with a small monthly income.

I'm sure it happens all the time. You're happily working away on your primary business, someone sends you an email or your talking to a prospect on the phone to build up a relationship with them and they try to sell you their opportunity! (The cheek of it :-)

So How Do You Approach Other Network Marketers?
